Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 - ALWAYS OLIVIA

  • About Always Olivia

Twice nominated as, 2023/2024 "Tribute Artist of the Year,” by the prestigious Josie Music Awards (The largest independent artist award show in the world!), Always Olivia is the premiere national touring tribute show honoring the life and legacy of Olivia Newton-John.

Always Olivia flawlessly captures the essence and sounds of Olivia’s timeless music. The show is fronted by singer Annie Aiello; her Olivia Newton-John vocal resemblance is absolutely astonishing! Annie, (a celebrated vocalist, “Round 2” candidate on The Voice, recorded with 80’s icon Richard Marx and worked alongside Grammy and Emmy Award winning producers) was captivated by and studied Olivia Newton-John ever since she was 7 years old.

Backing Annie are some of Chicago’s most talented musicians who have played for Oprah Winfrey, American Idol, Jersey Boys, Frankie Avalon, The Smothers Brothers, The Drifters, Mannheim Steamroller and more!

This show lovingly incorporates 5 decades of Olivia’s music, historical dialogue, humor, audience participation, costume changes and captivating video elements.

Expect to hear Olivia’s memorable hits spanning the 70’s to the present day including: Hopelessly Devoted, You’re The One That I Want, Physical, Magic, Xanadu, If You Love Me Let Me Know, Let Me Be There, Don’t Stop Believin’, Grace & Gratitude and so much more!

Always Olivia isn’t just any tribute band. Not only is the show supported by friends and family of Olivia Newton-John, but in 2023 alone, they helped raise more than $23,000 benefitting the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre to advance Oliva's legacy and belief that we can "see an end to cancer in our lifetime."

    About Annie Aiello

Annie’s parents bought her a special birthday gift at the age of 7. It was a hand-picked, Olivia Newton-John vinyl album that still sits in her collection today. “Have You Never Been Mellow” sparked Annie’s passion not only for singing, but it was the start of a life-long admiration for the incredible woman, vocalist, actress and humanitarian - Olivia Newton-John.

For more than 20 years, Annie has been a trusted talent, singer/songwriter in the Chicago music scene. She has sung both domestically and globally for large organizations, was a “Round 2” candidate on “The Voice”, recorded alongside Chicago native and 80’s icon, Richard Marx and has worked with several Dove, Grammy, and Emmy Award winning artists.

Annie’s love for Olivia Newton-John’s music has never waned. She credits Olivia’s influence for her own successful music career. “Returning to the music of my childhood through “Always Olivia” feels like home to me.

Annie is the proud mom to two great kids, Samantha and Luke and her Lab, Wrigley. No doubt, you will often find a large cup of coffee in Annie’s hands.

Monday, Dec. 9, 2024 - DANIEL BALL

AND THE GIBSON GIRLS

  • After being the lead singer of the Ball Brothers for over 18 years, I found myself uncertain about where God would lead me after the group retired in July of 2023. However, God made it clear to me that I should "keep going." Now, I find myself excited about embarking on a new path in music ministry.

Currently, l'm in the studio working on my debut solo project. While pursuing this new direction, I still take joy in performing some of my favorites from my time with the Ball Brothers, such as "It's About the Cross."

If you'd like to schedule me for a concert at your church or event, please CLICK HERE. Make sure to visit this page frequently for updates, and don't forget to follow me on all social media platforms. @danielballmusic / appreciate your support!

Monday, Jan. 13, 2025 - four freshmen

  • IN THE BEGINNING

In 1948, four young men created a sound that forever changed the way vocal jazz harmony was heard and performed. Known as The Four Freshmen, the group started with two brothers, Don and Ross Barbour, their cousin Bob Flanigan, and friend Hal Kratzsch. With a soaring, true tenor in Bob Flanigan, the group created a sound that has endured for over 6 decades. Hal Kratzsch sang the bass part and played trumpet. He sang the bass part with a big sound, laying the foundation for the Barbour brothers to add their beautiful inner part stylings. Ross sang the 3rd part and played drums. Don sang the 2nd part and played guitar. Thus, the original Four Freshmen was born and began touring, playing bowling alleys and small clubs across the country.

    STAN KENTON

Early on in their career, the Freshmen met Stan Kenton. He had heard the rumors of a vocal group that sounded like his band. The Freshmen were all fans of Kenton and in many ways, modeled their sound after the Kenton trombone section. Once Kenton heard them, he was hooked. He loved the group and believed in them so much that he approached Capitol and essentially got the Freshmen signed in 1950. This led to a fruitful partnership between Capitol Records and the Freshmen for over 10 years. During the Capitol years, the Freshmen had some of their biggest hits, including their first hit with Capitol called "It's A Blue World."
